ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

Electronic and Computer Engineering

Modern technology depends on well-designed electronic and computing systems. The Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering provides undergraduate training on digital system design, embedded computing, advanced electronics, computer architecture, and AI and autonomous systems. We emphasize how systems are designed, implemented, and optimized from hardware platforms to software execution. Students develop strong engineering foundations through lectures, laboratory work, and design projects that require analysis, implementation, and testing of real systems.

The Department offers the Bachelor of Science in Electronic and Computer Engineering. A Master of Science in Computer Engineering programme is under development. For enquiries, please contact us on email: ece@jkuat.ac.ke.
